In the last several years, automotive paint technology has evolved to radically change the way vehicles are produced and maintained. To fully utilize these new advancements in automotive paint technology, Chemical Guys has spent over 3 years developing V34. The first optical grade hybrid compound designed to take paint correction to the next level. V34 hybrid compound is the first water-based OEM-approved compound designed to remove heavy paint defects and imperfections with the clarity and precision that perfectionists demand. Removing scratches and defects from Mercedes, Corvette, BMW, Mercedes or Nissan vehicles can be rather difficult. Over the past few years, these vehicles have started to become equipped with scratch-resistant and ceramic clear coat paint technology with helps the exterior stay looking great for years, but creates a monumental task when removing even the smallest scratch or defect. As a paint correction specialist, customers are always looking for a compound that can eliminate heavy defects and swirls from very hard clear coats with less effort. 

Using V34 allows users to eliminate time and effort from the paint correction process on new ceramic and scratch-resistant clear coat paint. Heavy scratches, deep swirls, and tough oxidation don’t stand a chance against V34 hybrid compound. The V36 Optical Grade Cutting Polish is the first optical grade cutting polish designed to eliminate moderate to heavy paint defects and imperfections. V36 is developed to produce a perfect swirl-free finish. V36 is an ultra refined cutting polish developed to achieve the finest level of optical clarity. It is powder-free, dust-free and is formulated for extended work time. V36 cutting polish is the first water-based OEM approved polish capable of removing moderate to heavy paint defects permanently, delivering perfect results without filling in or covering up. V36 features micro abrasives that rapidly eliminate imperfections and remove 2000-2500 grit sanding scratches, swirls and holograms. V36 delivers a perfect finish with fewer passes and it is equally effective on ceramic finishes and conventional clear coats. V36 delivers the finest results with unmatched optical clarity. It is designed to function without oils, silicone or fillers. V36 maximizes efficiency by optimizing work time to deliver perfect results. V36 is VOC compliant and body shop safe for any paint shop environment. It is specially engineered to work with water-based paints and ceramic clear coats.

How Much Are the Right Polishes & Compounds Worth?
How about $300K? Don't believe us. We worked on a special project in our Smart Detailing University inside our trailing center. A long time client of ours personally asked us to prepare his brand new vehicle he had just purchased for an event he was planning to attend. The vehicle our client had just purchased was a 2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost in a beautiful color called diamond black metallic. The client was very concerned about the car because it was only 3 weeks old with only 500 miles on the clock, yet the entire vehicle was covered in light wash marring and holograms caused by an inexperienced detailer using a wool pad on this brand new Ghost.

After a few words with the client and a couple small test spots on the vehicle, we decided to correct the paint using the V36 Optical Cutting Polish teamed with a green Hex Logic pad on a Flex 3403 and a Porter Cable 7424XP. The V36 has just enough cut to where we were able to remove all the wash marring and holograms with only one pass per panel while still being able to finish down flawlessly, ready to be topped with a wax or sealant.

Being able to fully correct a car with one pad and one product makes paint correction so much faster and easier for the operator. On the softer jet black B-pillars, we were able to use the V38 Optical Final Polish with a black Hex Logic pad to achieve a flawless, defect-free surface that simply looked amazing.  

The best part of V36 and V38 was how easy they are to work with for the user. The optical grade polishes have a very long work time so you can keep working the polish for perfect correction of the paint surface. Another unique feature is that the polishes had zero dust residue. Unlike other polishes that sling dust powder everywhere as the polish begins to break down, V36 and V38 both have no dusting effects as the polish works into the surface. Zero dust from polishing means you don’t have to do back over the car cleaning up dust residue on the surface from inside the cracks and crevices. You can go straight from polishing to waxing and final wipe down without spending extra time cleaning up the mess from polishing.

V36 and V38 are impressive with both the working ability and the results of the product. The product works perfect for low speed polishing and jeweling of the paint which is very important. V36 and V38 both bring out the flake and depth of the beautiful black diamond metallic Rolls-Royce paint without the heavy effort of conventional polishes.
